​​Fire Protection and Rescue

  • Responding to structure fires, fire/carbon monoxide leaks/alarms, motor vehicle accidents, and more.

  • Conducting fire prevention activities such as community education, fire safety inspections, and public outreach.

  • Maintaining firefighting equipment, vehicles, and personal protective gear to ensure operational readiness.

  • Participating in regular training and drills to stay current with firefighting techniques and safety protocols.

  • Assisting with disaster response and recovery efforts in coordination with local emergency agencies.

​​Emergency Medical Services

Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company provides 24/7 emergency medical services to the local community.

 

Our key responsibilities include:

  • Respond to 911 calls and provide pre-hospital emergency care.

  • Perform basic and/or advanced life support (BLS/ALS).

  • Stabilize and safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.

  • Offer CPR, first-aid, and public safety education to community members.

  • Conduct regular in-house training and skills refreshers.

  • Follow HIPAA and other confidentiality protocols.

  • Maintain accurate patient care reports and incident logs.

  • Adhere to local, state, and federal EMS regulations and protocols.

​​Community Partnerships

Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company has an active presence in the Hamburg, NY community. Every year we participate in numerous community events:​

  • Fire Prevention Education: Conduct school visits, open houses, and community demonstrations to teach fire safety and prevention.

  • Community Events: Participate in parades, fundraisers, and local celebrations to engage with residents and promote community.

  • Public Service Assistance: Support the community with non-emergency calls such as traffic control and public safety standbys.
